PNNG Pulsed Neutron Dual-Spectrum Saturation Logging Tool, also called Pulsed Neutron-Neutron & Gamma-Ray Tool, not only has their respective benefits of the pulsed neutron-neutron logging tools and pulsed neutron-gamma-ray tools but also intensifies the compensation functions of these two logging tools. It may perform neutron lifetime log, capture gamma ray spectrum log, natural gamma ray log and the measurement of well temperation, pressure and casing callor locator in a single logging run. The tool includes a thermal neutron detector and a gamma ray etector for measuring simultaneously a thermal neutron time spectrum and capture gamma ray spectrometry. It may also record the counting rate of two types of detector so it has abundant log information and advanced log interpretation methods and a simple log processing technology. PNNG pulsed neutron dual-spectrum saturation logging integrates the combined measurements of several log methods, which may efficiently improve the interpretation coincidence rate and the measurement accuracy. The quantitative analysis of neutron lifetime logs may be made when the water salinity of earth formation is greater than 10000ppm and the qualitative analysis of neutron logs may be done when the salinity of the earth formation is within the range of 5000~10000ppm. So PNNG logging tool is an optimal device for measuring the residual oil saturation in the earth formation with low-pore and low-lermeability and low-salinity.
